Indoor Outlet Installations

My Neighborhood Electrician provides full service for indoor outlet installations. We install new electrical outlets as well complete upgrades and repairs to existing outlets. Many older homes do not have enough outlets or have outlets that are not compliant with today’s electrical codes. The use of long term extension cords and multi outlet converters is a good indication that you need additional outlets. Converting 2 prong outlets to 3 prong outlets without running the ground wire creates a dangerous safety threat to your family and home. Always call a licensed electrician for all your indoor outlet needs.

Please call us if you experience any of the following electrical overload warning signs from your outlets:
  • Warm or discolored wall plates.
  • Burning odor coming from outlet or wall switches.
  • Crackling, sizzling or buzzing from receptacles.

Outdoor Outlet Installations

My Neighborhood Electrician installs and services outdoor outlets. All outdoor receptacles should be GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) protected to avoid electrical shock. GFCI outlets are especially important for use around pools, hot tubs and spas. There are specific GFCIs for outdoor use and should be labeled “weather resistant” accordingly. Do not install a receptacle outdoors that was manufactured for indoor use. Although outdoor outlet installation might seem straightforward, always call a licensed electrician for installation and service.
